Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital

Palliative Care

Contact Us

Hennick Bridgepoint’s Albert and Temmy Latner Family Palliative Care Unit provides specialized palliative care to meet the needs of patients and their caregivers during the advanced stages of terminal illness or chronic disease.

We provide compassionate care and support during the final days of a patient’s life. We work with our patients to understand their physical, emotional and spiritual needs during this time.

In some cases, patients are admitted to the unit for a short time for support with difficult symptoms. The team makes suggestions on managing these symptoms so the patient can go back home.

Sinai Health is a leader in providing palliative care for patients with serious illness and their families. While The Albert and Temmy Latner Family Palliative Care Unit provides specialized inpatient care, the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care located at Mount Sinai Hospital also provides a range of palliative care services, delivered in hospital or at home.
