To be a Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital Volunteer, you must:
A minimum of six months (one session is a minimum of two to four hours per week)
Please note our greatest need for volunteers is weekdays during the day time. Volunteer opportunities on evenings and weekends are limited.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Volunteering at Hennick Bridgepoint is a valued commitment. Before you apply, please note that it can take up to eight weeks to process, interview and register a new volunteer.
1. Complete online application form:
i. Applicants must provide the names and contact info for two professional references
ii. Applications must include a resume
* Applicants must include all three components (application form, reference forms, and resume) to be considered.
2. Applicants will be contacted upon submission of application*
* While all applications are reviewed, due to the volume of applications we receive; only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Applications will remain on file for 3 months.
3. Attend a scheduled interview.
Step 1: Complete a Medical Form* with your family physician or at a walk-in clinic
* Hennick Bridgepoint does not cover any costs associated with the health immunization process.
Please note, volunteers must be cleared by our Occupational Health team prior to their first volunteer session
Step 2: Complete documentation process
Step 3: Attend an orientation session and training session for your volunteer role
Step 4: Receive a Photo ID Badge and volunteer uniform. Volunteer uniforms are purchased for $25.00 (non-refundable). Summer volunteers must wear t-shirts which are purchased for $15.00 (non-refundable). Uniform and ID Badge must be worn while on duty
